If you've already got help desk. the deployment is cake work, help desk is a step up the tree.
If you are interested in the IT space. a great market entry point is learning linux. Secifically RedHat Linux. I know there are tons of flavors out there and and each has merits, but RH is what is used in the paid business world the most. Windows server admins are a dime a dozen, and its an arguably easier job, thats tougher to compete for. If you learn linux, then youve already learned some of the basics of Unix as well. If you learn windows, you dont learn these things. Most of the internet resources run on a linux backend. Most desktops run Windows.
If you would like to take that a step further, google "openstack" its a free opensource cloud computing platform you can deploy. it will teach you a lot getting that running and learning how to use it. If you submit and get a few contributions accepted to the openstack project, thats a door opener to a 6 figure job in cloud computing spaces.
Thank you. Im gonna try this
