Thus, there will be an increased need to defend oneself, or die, but either way, the state wins because if a white does successfully fend of an attacker then they can simply be placed in a vacant cell for ‘hate crimes.’

This is obviously conjecture on my part. What are your thoughts?

It's all about control. The leaders of the liberal fascists don't care about criminals. They are safe in their walled mansions with their armed guards and security systems. What they care about is allowing the people to learn how badly they are being fucked over. To prevent this and insure that the controlled corporate media retains control of information, they intimidate nationalists into silence. One way is to threaten them with prison.
