China is scary powerful. Despite their bloody civil war between the CCP and the now nearly defunct PRC, they managed to hold off the Japanese invasion. They went on to defeat the US in Korea. And today, they are the world's leader by far in manufacturing capability. Yes, if the US enters civil war, China will invade. There is no version of this world where you are free.
