Not because the pentagon is on our side (it's not, its a genocidal pro-bank pro-israeli pogram-promoter against christians americans and europeans). No, the pentagon would stop the civilian government from allowing an open invasion simply because civilians would see it finally for what it is and push back hard.
If there is a civil war, it'd be red vs blue and the DoD would side with the blue and the blue team would be fine with China coming over and "helping" against team red.

Yes, because otherwise the race conflict will leave the country divided and steamrolled by China who would be welcomed on the West Coast, and already have a Pearl Harbor type attack planned with conventional missiles in shipping containers aimed at the softest points of the power grid. So literally sit by and do nothing while the military collects intelligence and plans their moves. As damaging as the communist agitators are to national security, reactionary ethnonationalism is equally damning because every faction's target is the same parts of our fragile infrastructure.
