My thought was vanilla sky guy was super rich they woke him up 150nyears later and said he was not gonna have money, but he was a smart guy and wanted to live an adventurous life his second chance so he became a cop and wanted to so good deeds to make up for being a rich smuck.. the sequal could be how he woke up then worked his way to being a detective and then lead into the movie minority report.. then at the end of minority report it is suppodly a dream too so he was still in the vanilla sky dream it just changed
