I don't know jack about music but I know art.
Imagine trying to tell me that art textbooks need POC and women artists in them solely because of their immutable qualities and instead of having 50 examples from da Vinci, or Michelangelo and Rembrandt, we needed 2 examples of each to make way for some shitty paintings from random nigger A and random bi poc trans fluid genderqueer fecal matter sculptor B.
18th century classical music is appreciated because it's objectively brilliant, not because its white or European but because it was something born of out the hypercompetitive intellectual environment that was the Renaissance and the 2 centuries thereafter. All fields, music, art, philosophy and literature were at their peak during this time.
