Eat food that has not been refined with machine.

That means no flour, sugar, vegetable oil, chemical additives, etc.

That'll literally solve 90% of your dietary and mental problems.

What is a good vegetable oil alternative? The other items seem easy to cut out but veg oil is used everywhere.

[–] 6 pts

Butter, lard, beef tallow, olive oil.

[–] 3 pts

Animal fats

You don't need to have oil to have your daily fat intake. Nuts and seeds have a plenty of healthy fats, along with other food items like avocado. If you really need to use oil, try extra virgin olive oil.

we use those things for higher performance. a healthy gut-brain connection is what people should 'eat with' e,incldg machines

Different body chemistry needs different things. A meat diet works for me. I am supposed to be a carnivore. I have been an extreme keto carnivore for 4 years(with scheduled breaks for blood production) and I've never felt or been better.

My friend became a vegan around the same time. We eat EXACTLY opposite but he's lost 150lbs and is doing amazing.

There is no right answer, only the right answer for you.

I feel the same way, went on keto a few days ago and it wasn’t too hard given that most of my diet was fats. However, now I feel like shit and have been second guessing the decision. I’m motivated to power through it though, it’s worth it to me to make a change. I stopped drinking when I started keto and that has been rough too. I was drinking 4+ beers everyday like a fucking autist.

At what interval do you take breaks for blood production? Do you have any good resources for keto? Thanks.

Also, the feeling like shit is normal. You are trying to produce glucose from proteins because you've never gone into ketosis. Your sympathetic nervous system kicks in and causes heart palpitations, blurry vision, anxiety, shortness of temper, hot flashes, and fatigue. This can last up to two weeks the first time or two.

My "keto flu" is less than 24 hours now.

I had a very similar scenario. I started doing carnivore the same time my friend became vegan. Hes Pacific islander and was overweight on an american diet. Lost a lot of weight being vegan, but also a lot of hair and strength. I think variety is key.

The commonality there probably is you are both cutting out all the processed shit.

Me yes him no. Vegan food is fuckin AWFUL lol. Most of your shitty snack foods are vegan friendly he eats like a garbage can

He's retarded as fuck. The brain feeds off of animal sourced saturated fat.

Brain runs off glucose.

Yeah, but they're made of cholesterol. Providing the material for repair and maintenance increases efficiency.

Grass fed organic meat, leafy greens, and small amounts of natural carbs, very little to no sugar, and zero corn syrup.

carbs humans use when we think hard or do cardio; wouldnt be a good idea to take them out or take in too many like with a vegitarian diet. with vegitarian diets trying to take in adequate & properly diverse proteins causes extra carbs and phytochemicals that are not becoming of health.

all meat diet also is dumb. and making a living by selling meat encumbers enlightenment because it is not in accord with 'right livlihood'(btw)

the best idea is for the person to stand back and review all the foods that are available to them and then pick what best suits them for that moment/day. thats why im making a mexican style pizza.

The ice age turned humans into hunters. After it ended, the Agricultural Revolution occurred, about 10,000 to 15,000 years ago. Human cranial volume has been in decline ever since. Further evidence that humans need a primarily meat based diet is the rapid increase in average European height in the decades following WWII.

you cant sustain lots of thinking andtraveling on meat alone and to constantly hunt has other incumbrances in higher forms of civility.

[–] 1 pt

I don't know what you're talking about, dude. Hunting connects you to the circle of life. To randomly kill things without thinking about it maybe wears you down, sure. But to have respect for what you're doing, and know that it's necessary, isn't a bad thing. And in fact, can teach you a heck-of-a-lot about life, if you let it.

A moderate diet, with a little of everything and not too much of anything.

[–] 1 pt

Eat nothing once a week.

[–] 0 pt

Whatever has the least sugar, preservatives, and vegetable fat, plus common sense and as much real organic/natural food as possible.

no one really knows, its different for everyone

but a million people will tell you different things that work the best tho!

its funny how much soy gets shit on for brain development when Asians typ have highest test scores with largest consumers of soy products

[–] 2 pts

They tend to eat fermented soy which is healthy. Other soy not so good especially if it's GMO

[–] 0 pt

Its not the diet, its the quality of the food
