In the 1500s, nobility had their own musicians and books were scarce.

Today I have my PC to the left of me, my phone to the right, a massive stack of books, I have radio, whatsapp, instant music (any kind of music), access to infinite information about that music (or anything I care to look up), I can see a thousand attractive naked women having sex if I want, I can talk instantly to anyone in the world and send pics.

On and on.

Goodness my mind.

Not only all that but I discover new info every day, historical and present. I can learn to cook anything, plant anything, shoot anything, ride anything. I've got advice coming out my ears.

Blah blah blah you feel me?

Guess I'll just go watch The Love Boat.

You might want to try silence now and then. I'm serious. It's beneficial to spend a quiet evening with no television, no computer, no recorded music. Read a book, work on a puzzle, build something, go for a walk, play a board game with some friends. No electronics of any kind. It is cleansing for the soul.
