I'm happily married for 23 years, so here's my take. Every person makes choices for reasons. If a woman is pushing hard for a commitment, it's surely because she sees something tangible to gain. It's probably not about wanting you, but wanting what's yours.
If her income is not higher than your income, you are in her mind a financial windfall. It doesn't matter how good or bad the sex is, or how much you have in common. It's about having for herself the things that are yours. Beware!
Keep this one at arms length. Only fuck her at her house. Keep her out of yours. And by all means, find a side-chick, then let her get wind of the competition. Money-diggers are lazy and seldom stick around when it comes to out-doing the competition. If you are not an easy target, this arrow will fly away.
Interesting take. How even are your finances OP? Do you pay for most things OP?
Retired. Doing pretty well. Here's my back story regarding the wife.
I was a long haul trucker when I ate at Denny's in Chicago. She was the manager. My health was getting pretty bad from too many years on the road. She acted interested. I ended up stopping in three times and then she made me the offer: "If you want to quit trucking, you can just live with me. Don't gotta work, don't gotta marry, can stay forever or just a week".
Next April, I quit, ditched the truck at the terminal in St. Louis. She drove there and picked me up. Took me home. I didn't work for a year and she never bitched about it at all. Denny's paid her pretty good. But Chic ago winters are brutal, so I said I gotta go south, with or without her. She got a transfer to Spartanburg, SC. I asked to go part-time in the restaurant, and became a weekend dishwasher and had a blast doing simple shit with goof-ball co-workers - for minimum wage. Went from $80k per year trucking to unemployed to minimum wage, and she supported my every decision. Now that's a keeper!
Went back to trucking for a few more years, then on a whim, started an appliance repair business, and guess who became the manager. I ran the repairs, she ran the office. What a team! And as I type, she's in the kitchen making me a sammich. Hahahaha!
The right one is a delight. But this is my second marriage. The first one... I got took. Bad. So again, be careful!
*turkey with cheese, grilled, corn chips and a pickle just landed in front of me. Gotta go!
I meant the thread OP and his girls financials. Nice story though there. Glad everything worked out for you. Always good to see something positive on this site haha. I did some part time dishwashing not terribly long ago. It's pretty fun if you have a good kitchen crew even if you don't make shit.
If I was in a relationship with a man and I got wind of him having someone else, that's an instant dealbreaker and would result in the relationship being instantly over. That's degenerate behaviour. Loyalty is the #1 trait above all else. I'm not the silver medal to anyone's affections.
Fortunately, my husband didn't play this headgame horseshit with me and shares the same views.
That being said though, the bit you said about the finances is true for most women.
If a woman is pushing hard for a commitment, it's surely because she sees something tangible to gain. It's probably not about wanting you, but wanting what's yours.
Women’s primary focus should be having kids. Of course every woman who focuses on raising kids (WHAT WE NEED NOW) will need a bread winner. Males want something too out of marriage someone to birth and raise kids , manage the household. A tangible gain.
That is what marriage is for.
Fucking retarded males on this forum constantly complaining about women choosing careers over kids but then bitch that a female might have concern for the financial well being for herself and her children.

This is how we got here folks^
Degeneracy.
