It's a controlled propaganda platform where anyone can upload videos. The platform then censors your upload if it doesn't conform to acceptable narratives. It mainly caters to cat videos and pro vaccine videos.

the ads keep you clicking and plugged into the computer instead of relaxing on the couch. once you setup a queue this lacking ability is appreciated more

It's a time stealing feature.

It is designed to deprive other companies from getting too much time with you.

They want your eyes on them at all times and they are working to advertise at you while you sleep.

There will, eventually, be nowhere to escape from propaganda. In fact, your mind will simply be zombified into a propaganda zombie parrot.
