I don't upvoat mostly because I am trying to pick and choose what I feel is important. If I see something and thing: "oh yeah, that's correct", I might find something else of more importance later. So I don't upvoat unless it's solid.
Over on Voat.xyz, I am at least able to say "fuck off" simply by downvoating. So I check in here, but the ability to not say "fuck off" with out a full on post, means I just shrug and walk away. It's much less engaging here compared to Voat which allows downvoating. Furthermore, some users here, for unknown reasons, go from 2000 upvoats, to negative in seconds, simply because something they said caused a moderator to slam them. That's bullshit.
Voat is much more supportive of free speech and an open exchange of ideas. Poal is OK and it's a good community, but not quite to Voats caliber due to the bullshit censorship here.
Yea this place is junk. 2 minute reply windows just to tell someone they're retarded. And there are more retards here than reddit.
