Yes, this is an interesting social science question. And since we have a whole African continent to observe over many centuries, then that would be the ideal place to see if trust and selfless behaviour has ever emerged in their culture? Looking at their history, they engaged in endless brutal tribal wars to acquire slaves and they failed to build anything. And when handed a modern White culture to build upon, they rapidly reverted back to tribal wars and genocides instead. I think they are pretty good reasons to say that trust and selfless behaviour have never developed within any African society
