China invades Taiwan. Does the US do anything?

China invades Taiwan. The US military sends "observers" and "advisors" and troops to evacuate civilians. Does China risk an all-out war?

China keeps attacking and a thousand Americans die. Does America cut loose?

China and America go to war. China loses 20% of its export market. America loses 50% of its imports, including most electronics. Which side has the will to keep going?

At current rates of military buildout China will surpass the United States in approximately 2150. They are hopelessly, hilariously outgunned.

There are 20 jump carriers on the deep blue sea, the US owns 10 of them. A super carrier has approximately 7 times the fire power as a jump carrier. On the deep blue sea there are 10 super carriers, the US owns ALL of them.

What you are hearing about china's naval investments is probably the floating casino they recently converted into a super carrier, it isn't due to be finished untill 2022 or 2023. It also may be true that they have more naval vessels than the US, but those are mostly small craft with little to no fire power in comparison.

If the US went to war with the entire world with our Navy alone, the world would be hard pressed to win once we shut down global trade and commerce.

That's just our Navy. There is still the Army, Air Force, and Marines.
