Cops are doing what they have to do to keep their jobs, which probably means response time is waaaaay down....and who could blame them?

If the biggest scumbag-criminal alive were to be stopped by the most honorable cop alive, all criminal has to do is lie about police brutality and that cop gets investigated by Internal Affairs and even if found innocent, still has that accusation in his file for the history of his employment.

It doesn’t matter if this criminal is known to set up cops on bogus Internal Affairs investigations, these cops still have to take the black mark on their record and sit through the indignity of an investigation.

Why would cops go out and try to actually fight crime, if that just sets them up to be not only fired, but to go to jail or a lying criminal?

I heard this from a few different cops over 20 years ago, so I can’t even imagine how low morale is now.

Our system is all fucked up and it needs to be chucked and we need to start over.

They aren't on strike for the same reason you aren't.

They need to get paid. They also have bills to pay.

They will do whatever the state tells them to because at the end of the day, they don't want to lose their paychecks.

That is why they will never be your ally. They are just the enforcement arm of the state.

Every cop I know has this mentality. They are trying to fly under the radar for as long as possible to score a pension and early retirement. They know if they make one wrong move they might be jailed for life or worse. It's a very stressful situation, obviously. You need to remember cops are usually kinda dumb too. It really does take them a little longer to figure out things like this.

The pay for cops in these urban areas has actually gotten pretty good due to retention bonuses and overtime. Cops can sit in a car or behind a desk for hours and get ridiculous overtime pay. Many of them possess no other skills and are usually aggressive jerks outside of work, so they realize that they won't make this money elsewhere.

If I was a cop, I would rather risk being written up for laziness or dereliction of duty than be killed by a black or found guilty and jailed by the mob, though.

The cops have put their own asses first, traditionally, which meant when in doubt shoot the nigger. They still have to protect themselves, so I suspect that will mean run from the nigger. I suspect they will be fine. It is the rest of us that aggressive cops were protecting by eliminating criminals.

Cause they get ridiculously good pay for easy fucking work, and get to act like our bosses, parents, or ... gods. They do virtually nothing all day, every day, and every once in a while have to do something a little bit difficult. Traffic accidents are usually their worst day on the job.

Cops are not putting their lives on the line every day. They are out highway sharking tax payers for traffic infractions. They have nowhere near the fatality rate of hundreds of other professions making far, far less.

Austin Texas has the average cop making over $100k/yr with overtime, are allowed to moon light if they choose, and have great union provided benefits. With the exception of a few beat cops in the shitty part of town, cops do very little in the way of danger.

Well pay is nice in those cases but parked on a highway pulling people over is not a low risk job.... You never know wos in the vehicle and what they are going to do. And have ypu seen people drive? Highway interstate whatever 80 mph+ and swaying all over the place?

White people created the civilization around us, and it's very hard to let go of that when you have been told your entire life that the proper way to live is to peaceably and consistently engage with the trappings and systems of that civilization. That's why white people keep saying to "trust the process," because they invented the process and can't imagine a scenario where it could turn on them so rapidly. Boomers especially are really confused now because they remember the 1950s and 1960s when the "process and system" were all-powerful and you really could trust them.

It's really like a movie out there these days. Many sci-fi movies have this plot where people create machines or robots to help them who then turn on their creators due to a virus or malicious reprogramming by a hostile AI (the Jews).

Because in reality MN just has wacky laws, their second degree murder charge can be entirely unintentional, which is what his most serious charge was. At first I thought the defense was trash if they somehow couldn’t defend against the idea that he intentionally killed the guy with an audience, then I looked up the law and was quite confused because that is not “murder” at all, just like how they changed the meaning of “marriage” in many places, it’s not really murder or marriage, they just stole the word.

I still don't get it. Unintentional murder is 1. Felony murder and 2. Bodily harm against a person who has a restraining order against you. This is the law I'm reading.

So now that I looked over this even closer yeah it seems like because of 2.1 the felony charges for either of the other two charges made this immediately fall under 2 degree murder according to MN law, anything over 1 year of jail time is a felony in MN!
