That was the strangest part, as alluded to, most people didn't change their mind.
They did though. They went from "lol, look at those conspiracy theorists saying there's a deadly plague in china, what xenophobes" to "OMG we're all dying, there's millions dead worldwide, #stayhomesavelives #holdfast"
They literally believe whatever they're told, evidence notwithstanding.
Good point, I had people laugh their heads off at me when I warned them, or went into a store with a full get up on. But once they were told "Everyone panic!" they stayed panicking, and no amount of good news or no one dying changes their mind.
Really a gut-punch for my faith in humanity.
TV and social media are reality now.
