Yeah. Me. I kept up with it in January and saw the people vomiting blood and trucks full of body bags, and people being bolted into their houses, and huge trucks spraying unknown chemicals into the air and a literal cyberpunk dystopia occurring in China.

Then there were reports that ~4% of people infected would die, and that if it got to the point where you needed a ventilator >80% would die (later we'd find out that the ventilators themselves were killing people) and that you could transmit it asymptomatically and continue to transmit it for 14 days before symptoms and die within 3 days of symptoms. I prepped hard fucking core: In January I bought some bug out land, stocked up on food, ammo, meds, got a new off-road capable vehicle, body armor, N-95's, p-100 respirators and gas masks (before they went crazy expensive). I put my money where my mouth was.

By the time of the reports out of italy that they couldn't burn all the bodies because there were so many dead I I was sure it would be just a few weeks until all hell broke loose. But then it didnt and I was really confused because (at the time) no one was wearing masks and ~a month after I had prepped for 2 years people all got the message the same day and swarmed the super markets without masks, or with bullshit cloth or medical masks that i knew wouldn't work. I remember thinking "those poor fools, 4% of them will be dead within the month" But then that didn't happen. Then I knew that what was reported about the virus must be wildly incorrect as the obituaries weren't increasing, and no one I knew died, so by ~April last year I felt like a pretty big idiot.

On the flip side, there really are potentially killer pathogens. If the world went this fucking crazy for a bad flu, imagine the kind of civil break down we'd have for a real event. It would be like Louisiana during Katrina where militias just shot anyone who didn't look like they belonged in the neighborhood (read blacks). So it would have been cheaper if I had prepped slowly, waiting for good deals instead of all at once, (for most things, still super happy I got ammo before the squeeze).

A few of my very close friends were similarly worried and changed their minds in line with me for the same reasons. Logical people are out there, you just have to find them.

Seconded.

January/February 2020 I was prepping for a collapse of civilisation. Then the reality was a fart in a hurricane but everyone else was pretending there was a collapse. Now I'm prepping for the ongoing commie takeover.

[–] 1 pt

but everyone else was pretending there was a collapse.

That was the strangest part, as alluded to, most people didn't change their mind.

[–] 4 pts

They did though. They went from "lol, look at those conspiracy theorists saying there's a deadly plague in china, what xenophobes" to "OMG we're all dying, there's millions dead worldwide, #stayhomesavelives #holdfast"

They literally believe whatever they're told, evidence notwithstanding.

Viruses don’t exist. Look up Terrain theory. You can’t catch a virus

[–] 2 pts

People keep saying that then don't reply when i ask about getting herpes or hepatitis

[–] 1 pt

kek. Yeah. Some people get tired of so many things accepted as truth being lies, that they think everything is a lie.

I'd love to learn more about terrain theory. Can you provide some links?

[–] 0 pt

Have any articles to recommend?

This sounds pretty similar to my experience. To everyone's experience probably. I kept on waiting for all the mass-death i was promised. You can imagine my disappointment.

I do recall thinking that if this virus got to india and more importantly africa, they wouldn't take/understand any of the precautions, and how wonderful it would be for the future if there was a drastically smaller population of s.s. africans.

Same, I was warning my family in Jan to stock up on supplies and avoid high risk situations.

Then there was the scare around Italy I stayed home for a month. I never wore a mask tho, since I don't have a P95+it's pointless.

Then after a while it was clear that if there was a real virus it had mutated into nothing. This was probably June.

Since then I've been waiting for the joke to be over.

[–] 0 pt

since I don't have a P95+it's pointless.

Amazing how many people don't understand this. "I'm installing a chain link fence to keep out mosquitoes!"

I'd say you weren't just aware and discerning, but also dutiful and diligent about your safety. There's nothing to feel like an idiot about. I myself tried to give presentations to the normies in my workplace, based on what information I had gathered until February. Virtually no-one came or had any interest, just my boss.

During the first lock-down in March/April '20, my pattern recognition finally kicked, because the inconsistencies and unlikelihoods in the official coverage just mounted up. I'd say I am more of a fool than you, because I did not prep beyond hoarding some food. I wish I had gotten land back then. Still could, but where I life that won't guarantee you peace and quiet.

[–] 1 pt

Do it (getting land) It's not very big and it's out in bumfuck, but If my wife and I needed to leave our home, we'd have a stocked alternative.

You're making me appreciate the expertise China demonstrated on the psyop. They played it perfectly to get everyone at the exact same level of manufactured fear for lockdown day. It ended the trade war and allowed them to steal the election through mail fraud. China's GDP grew in 2020 while the world went into recession. They jewed the whole world.

I have a number of relatives who work in the medical field and at the start they took this very, very seriously - seasonal flu kills thousands every year anyway, and they were expecting something on a worse scale.

Patients were in ICU, some died. Many more recovered - including the elderly and fatties. After three months or so there were no patients in ICU.

They agree it's overblown bullshit and are even voicing against vaccines.

[–] 0 pt

Interesting. I'm getting mixed stories, on one hand I'm being told the hospitals are overflowing and doctors are being worked to death. On the other hand they're being kept under capacity and there seems to be a lot of them on extended leave, or not being utilised.

The hospitals I knew of were overwhelmed at the start - I now know it was mostly the panic stricken converging on them because they were coughing and sneezing. People were also lining up to get covid tests, adding more burden on the staff.

There were gravely ill people in ICU. Some hospitals down here cleared out general wards and even put up tents in the car parks. The tents were never used and while some covid patients were indeed put in wards they were never overrun as such. It wasn't anything like the Contagion movie.

In short, covid was pretty much done after three or so months.

[–] 1 pt

The impression I got here was that everyone avoided the hospitals so they didn't catch the coof.

Also, they shut down virtually everything else, including cancer treatments. People died of treatable and operable cancers because "we might need the beds." Oh and the usual nursing home bullshit.

They even paid the private hospitals to shut down just in case they were needed for overflow.

I have a distant old aunt that was always a fucking nutter, "I have this sickness, this disease, tell others so they can call me and gossip", so yeah she was a cunt. Anyway she got the jab as soon as she could and shortly later she was hospitalized with internal bleeding.

All her kids and a lot more of the distant relatives are now more concerned with the vax scare than the China flu no one near us died from.

[–] 4 pts

Yea i was thinking about that too. Ive been saying for years that there's a class of people who derive satisfaction and root their identity in suffering an ailment. They love talking about it, blaming it, trying to milk sympathy from you, it's repulsive. The covid bullshit is like a jewel from heaven for them and they've been elevated from laundromat nuisance to saints in the New Order. I really can't stand it.

The one thing that struck me about the Corona craze was the people whom I knew to be level headed were the first to go insane (and remained paranoid to this day).

The paranoid and insane people, were the ones who knew it was a scam. It was a weird paradox.

[–] 1 pt

Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get you. Also: It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

[–] 1 pt

My mom. She still thinks it is real but she just takes ivermectin weekly. She was completly insane about it at first but she's finally come around to not yelling at me for refusing to wear a mask or to social distance etc. She was freaking out about me living in a 'red' state that didn't take it 'seriously' and has gotten over that as well.

[–] 1 pt

Everyone I know who was / is skeptical is the same. People can't be woken up. Give up. Focus on working inside the grid and make currency in whatever denomination suits your government.

Stack it. Wrap it. double pack it.

and do some fucking good with it.

fuck waking people up guys it's not possible at this point. Legit if someones on board with testing vaccines on kids and have schools for kids the way they are, then they are mentally and morally bankrupt and the best thing you can do is focus on your family and KIN.

[–] 1 pt

Same. They either got it right away or are still living in fear. I have seen some skeptics become LESS skeptical somehow though. Fucking morons. But they were bought into Q. So when Q proved to be nonsense they seemed to assume they had been wrong about everything.

[–] 1 pt

A lot of people went from hysteria to chill about oh... 3 months ago

Super weird. I wonder if there was some other cabal-oriented event that coincided that would have had such a significant impact

I came around. I don't think of it so much as "coming around per se though. My thinking was more like "What the hell is going on? Shut it down to be safe." but once the data started to come in it was pretty clear to me that it was BS. Now I'm the guy getting yelled at for being in the gas station not wearing a mask and flipping the fat ass behind the counter the bird.

[–] 1 pt

I keep thinking: "What if this is designed to make people skeptical so that when a real bio-weapon can be released and only the sheep will believe it's real?"

[–] 0 pt (edited )

No, all those I know (me included) have been against the hysteria since the beginning.

The Karens are still trying to get me to vaccinate.

Ain't gonna happen.
