Nah they didn't have labor saving devices. It predates Judaism.

That said there is some cultural Marxist historical revisionism regarding slavery: If you actually READ history slaves often had certain rights, were taxed LESS than we are TODAY and could buy their freedom.

In other words slavery could be said to be a shitty work contract with bad PR.

Islamic slavery though.. that REALLY sucked.

Whites had the most civilized form of "slavery" and were the only race to end the practice world wide. (((Funny))) how only they get blamed for it.
