I personally think China and Russia are trying to spread the US out, who gets the resources and attention required. Or a build up to a World War.

I think Russia wants to flatten Ukraine as a Proxy to the US for something we don't know about. Hunter? Timing is suspicious, too many troops committed to be messing around. I almost think the USA will strike on opposite side of Russia as to weaken and spread out forces. Russia may be over committing.

The military buildup is in response to military action from Ukraine, so no. Russia MUST react to increased military action directly beside it--any country would, and does. Ukraine has been getting ignored recently by the US, and so to gain more attention started heating up the conflict. It worked. Looks like they will get more $$$, so things should start to settle down again.
