What guns am I NOT allowed to shoot with a dual spinal fusion, rods in my back and 1-2 missing back muscles? I'm missing part of my lower left trapezious muscle and possibly another on my left side. What guns are not a good idea for me to be shooting? Which ones are good for me to stick with?

Also I plan on buying a Keltec Sub-2000 at some point down the road. Saw it at a gun show and instantly liked it. I need to try it out though before I buy.

Stay away from any rifle calibers except 22lr. A pistol carbine should be safe. A lever action in 38/357 should be ok too

Is this one good? https://www.keltecweapons.com/rifles/sub-2000

I don't know much about ammo type. Is .40 safe for me to shoot?

Edit: 22lr is what people refer to as a 22 right?

If your shooting it in a Kel Tech or Hi Point Carbine, yeah, a 40 will usually ok because the extra size and weight will cushion the recoil. Hipoint even moreso because the stock has a recoil pad built in. Any caliber that is usually shot in a pistol should be ok (Unless your going REALLY big like 454 casul or 500 mag). Just be aware that .40 will be about 50% more expensive than 9mm to shoot.

And yes, 22 LR is 22 long rifle. EVERYONE should own some form of 22LR gun. it's a swiss army knife in so many ways

I'll probably buy 9mm then. Just looking to shoot targets lol

Cool gun, wish I knew more about guns I think quite a few of us poalrs do though.

The 22 is great advice, of course ... no problem there. Beyond that I don't think any of us is qualified to answer and speaking with your medical folks would serve you better. The back is too damn important to take advice from we ... the unwashed masses - LOL.
