He's a 40 pound shepherd mix, and i was wondering about his diet. Currently i have a kitchen aid grinder. I create a cooked mix of meats, usually pork, lamb, and beef. It gets grinded into a fine meat, and then i use that as his weekly dog food. Any other suggestions for his food? I was thinking adding potatoes and rice, but i dont know if that's a good idea

My dad would give our dogs (7) just bones at least twice a week. I think he used brisket bones but it was a long time ago so I'm not 100%. They were hunting dogs (pig hunting) and sheep dogs.
