II'm not interested in carrier phones because of all the garbage on them, and I'm not paying an "activation fee" for sticking my SIM in a new device. The 8T is pretty hack friendly, and i need a rootable device because even stock Android has too much garbage on it - my 2013 MotoG still needed probably 25 different modules and applications disabled or deleted.

The One Plus 8T ticks all the boxes, it's easily bootloader unlockable, is decently powerful, and is mid-price in the phone world, and doesn't have stupid voice response systems on buttons that you can't disable. What's your thoughts?

They are, but they're an evil that is almost necessary in this world.

I bought mine a few months ago, it's a pretty nice phone. I'm very impressed with the battery life. I mostly listen to music or books throughout the day and haven't seen the battery go below 78% after a 10 hour shift. The warp charging is really fast. I also like that it has smart charging which analyzes your charging habits to preserve the battery life, for example if I put it on the charger before I go to bed it'll charge some but then stops and resumes sometime before my alarm goes off.

I don't play phone games so I can't say how well it performs in that area. Videos look nice and sharp and the speakers are pretty loud. Bloatware is easily removed. The fingerprint sensor is somewhat finicky and can be a mild nuisance if your thumb isn't squeaky clean. Overall I'm pretty impressed with it.

Battery life and hackability are my reasons for considering it, sounds like it fits the bill.

Birds don't use phones

Everyone has a phone these days, even the electric birds. I'm an older model, the new drones have comm built in.

lol

have you looked at SailfishOS, on a Sony Xperia

Yes, but "privacy" isn't a thing when you're using a phone. Your carrier is tracking everything you do and everything you look at.

They use Twitter tho

No they don't, twitter is for faggots and trannies.
