This is a tough one. I did not know Sam and Dave wrote the song, IOW I didn't know Fab Tbirds redid it. So I went to utube to listen. I like FTB version because it's the one I'm used to. But the S and D version is damn good/original. To me the FTB version seems more "upbeat", maybe the tempo is a little quicker? IDK. Hell, I didn't know until 2 years ago that the lead guitarists for FTB was Stevey Ray Vaughn's older brother. I learned that by watching documentary on SRV.
