I work for a very large company. Right now im trying to figure out how i can get fired. I want them to pay out the severance, but they absolutely refuse to do so. They want to do all this PIP stuff instead for underperformance, but it feels so draining, all i want is the severance check, is that too much to ask for?!

How could she even do that though? What could a company even be responsible for? This is peak clown world.

They allowed a customer to mill about outside the place for like 20 mins. That made her feel "unsafe" because he "ambushed" her as she left after work. That's the claim. It worked. This was like 10-15 years ago. The company was a small family restaurant and it went out of business because of her lawsuit.

Most people have no idea how long things have been this bad.
