Im a widower, been so for a few years. I got out of a relationship, and i feel like my entire life is hopeless now. This woman ingrained it into my head that being a widower is worst than having cancer, and that she was "settling" with me. I've come to believe, that since then, and since finding christ, she may actually be right. I'm young, I'm not particularly interesting, and my entire past is morbid and dark. So realistically, im thinking my dating life may in fact just be over at this point.

That person sounds they they wanted to keep you down. Good that you walked away.

In terms of being attractive to the opposite sex: - On average, women peak at 18. - On average, men peak at 50.

So, as a male you don't need to settle.

But, you need to fix yourself first. Have a stable job, get fit, be clean, go volunteer at a youth sports league .. show that you are kind and good with kids. You will have no issues finding someone.

Double bonus is that you are in church. I know in my church the number of available women over the age of 25 is about 10X vs. men.
