Had a pedigree GSD, best friend I ever had and the smartest dog I ever owned. Not a dog whisperer but am pretty good at training dogs. I like larger breeds, unfortunately they tend to have shorter life spans. So far I've been leaning towards either a Caucasian or Anatolian shepherd. Anyone have any experience with either of the breeds? Other large breeds with a longer life span that I may not be aware of? Price isn't an issue. I am partial to shepherds.

i have a bull mastiff english mastiff mix hes really big and eats quite a bit but hes very smart hes very intimidating barks super loud when its needed. he does not bark for no reason. with minimal training he does not need to be told something more than once. hes not that bad with drooling unless he just gets done eating or drinking i just wipe his mouth with a towel. he loves all other dogs and cats. problems you will see in dogs this big will be stomach related and hip dysplasia. he got a hold of a giant bone some tard gave him and couldn't shit he was in the hospital getting multiple enemas. but he will just sit there while i clean his ears or clip his nails he never makes a fuss. i can tell him stay and leave the room when i get back hes still in the same spot. best dog i ever had hands down. https://vid8.poal.co/user/crawdadie17/qDJWRbA?autoplay=off

Mastiffs are the best dogs. Had a cane Corso pass last year and we're still not over it.

13, pretty old for a dog that size.
