Had a pedigree GSD, best friend I ever had and the smartest dog I ever owned. Not a dog whisperer but am pretty good at training dogs. I like larger breeds, unfortunately they tend to have shorter life spans. So far I've been leaning towards either a Caucasian or Anatolian shepherd. Anyone have any experience with either of the breeds? Other large breeds with a longer life span that I may not be aware of? Price isn't an issue. I am partial to shepherds.

Got a big ass maine coon. He grew up with my dog and now thinks he is one. Poor guy didn't eat for like a month after the dog died 😞

You both lost a best friend; Sorry for your loss.

My 15 year old cat died last year. Nothing will ever replace her but I'm happy because the time we had together was really special.

It sounds like you are a good pet owner and will find something meaningful again! Best of luck!
