Everyone in Boulder is asking why this shooter would drive 20 miles from his home in Arvada in order to shoot up a grocery store in Boulder. Without any other explanation the answer is obvious; Colorado is a shall issue conceal carry state, but Boulder is hyper-liberal and there are far fewer gun owners there than the surrounding counties. I believe he, just as the Aurora Theater shooter, chose that location knowing he would have a better chance at getting more victims before being stopped. This isn't some huge revelation, but the news and politicians don't seem to get it, or just won't admit it publicly because it hurts their gun control narrative.
