The post is not about changing the current behavior, but to add extra options giving users the ability to decide how posts from blocked subs are displayed.
Oh. Well, in that case, extra options are always a good thing :)
You'll just confuse stupid people.
Rule 1 of feature design: users are retards
You'll be flooded with questions about why they're still seeing content from blocked subs.
When a sub is blocked:
- Posts don’t show up (current behavior)
This is the default one. This post is about adding some extra adjustments users can set in their preferences.
When half of reddit comes here because /r/mylittlepony/ was banned for not being gay enough and they flood you with messages saying the block button doesn't work because they wanted to put a red border on nazi subs so everyone else would know to block them too don't say you weren't warned.
If it is just options then why can't you give us both 2 and 3 and let us turn them on or off? I haven't blocked any subs yet but if I do I don't want to see shit from them.

Because there's something called feedback.
