Would you like to have a new setting that lets you decide how this feature will behave?

For example, having several choices such as:

  1. Posts don’t show up (current behavior)

  2. Posts show up, but are dimmed (20%)

  3. Posts show up, but have a red left border.

Leave your suggestions in the comments (stay on topic with the subject).

'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'. I vote to leave things as they are. Out of sight, out of mind. Lol

The post is not about changing the current behavior, but to add extra options giving users the ability to decide how posts from blocked subs are displayed.

Oh. Well, in that case, extra options are always a good thing :)

You'll just confuse stupid people.

Rule 1 of feature design: users are retards

You'll be flooded with questions about why they're still seeing content from blocked subs.

When a sub is blocked:

  1. Posts don’t show up (current behavior)

This is the default one. This post is about adding some extra adjustments users can set in their preferences.

If it is just options then why can't you give us both 2 and 3 and let us turn them on or off? I haven't blocked any subs yet but if I do I don't want to see shit from them.

Because there's something called feedback.

No, I don't want to see crap from blocked subs. That's why I have them blocked.

What about a Khazar milkers exception?

degenerate comment from a degenerate username which is about jewish tits, who would have thought

you are also a pathetic untermensch

While I agree with you, I still have to downvote you.

Hell yeah. Hey are we gonna acknowledge the guy who came up with the brilliant idea for option 2?

You mean like the collapsed comments? :D

Dimmed/collapsed comments from blocked users were introduced somewhere around 2 years ago.

How about having them collapsed with just a + sign if we want to expand, and in that single line include user, sub, title? (similar to how comments look when you collapse one)

No thumbs, no play/expando option to appear until the + sign is clicked, then after the + sign clicked it can appear as normal.

I don't mind it the way it is now, but I also don't like to miss out on anything. Shame I have to block the Q subs but I just can't take the stupid.

Some subs are actually blocked by users not for their content as a whole, but because of some users (that aren't blocked to preserve "block user" slots, since limited to 50) and their posting habits.

I think having posts from blocked subs dimmed makes it easier (for readability) than having them collapsed, and thus adding an extra action to see what they are about.

Imagine pandering to a user base that has so many people blocked that 50 slots isn't enough, and they have to block entire subs to preserve their precious block slots for future uses.

Imagine pandering to your narrow minded view of the world that you can't comprehend some people want to avoid shit-trolls like your frens on the voat wannabe.

I would prefer to have posts from blocked subs not show up at all. I don't want to see any Qtard nonsense.

[–] 0 pt

I don't block subs but having the dim 20% option might entice me to try that feature.

[–] 0 pt

I think blocked should mean blocked. #1.

2 and 3 would be nice features, but should be their own -- like "dimmed" and "highlighted"

When I blocks em, I don't wanna see em

I vote for a selection where if you block a sub, it actually blocks every other sub and you can only see the one you attempted to block, permanently.
