"Its easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled". Mark Twain
Tolerance of others' ideals shows lack of conviction in your own.
This one quote fully explains how America has become the shit-show it is today.
Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying civilization
Ooo that's a good one
I disagree. There comes a point where you must coexist with others. You don't have to accept everyone but intolerant bigotry is one of the reasons why the left sucks, no?
Pretty sure that comes down to an inability to think logically, critically, or honestly.
The left sucks because their ideals are demonstrably detrimental to a functioning society.
You'll coexist right into extinction.
'Avoid the groid'
This one literally directs my life, being that I'm such a contrarian:
"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect." —Mark Twain
Yeah that is a good one
Mark Twain seems awesome. He died on the same day as Tesla, right?
"If they don't name the jew then their message isn't true" but there are lots of quotes that I like.
How about just
Gas the jew?
Na that's bad because no jews were gassed
How about 'it's time we gassed the jew, for real'
truth sounds like hate to those who hate truth
"You talk like a fag, and your shit's all retarded."
POW!
A fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom
And
The road to hell was paved with good intentions
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.
Obedience is better than sacrifice , and to hearken than the fat of rams
What exactly does the second one imply? or what wisdom is there to gain from it?
I'd think it refers to compulsive people who can't leave things alone, always trying to "improve" them, meddle with other people's business to "help" them.
You wanting to care for a billion niggers trying to aleviate their suffering to make you feel better will bring 5 billion more niggers and will destroy it all. Thats one of the uses
i.e., Thirteenth Amendment and 'affirmative' action.
Chance favors the prepared mind.
My only real epiphany: You know when you're driving down a highway at night, and off in the distance, you can see a lit window in a building? That's a person, a lifetime of experience, but all you see is the little light. That lit window is all you are to everyone else.
Of course, the person in the window may be a moron.
Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice. Moderation in pursuit of justice is no virtue Barry Goldwater.
