Not even joking. I have a lot of valuable skills and have done a lot of things in my life, but buying a piece of land and developing it into what you envision yourself is the most satisfying, and usually profitable, thing I have ever done. As a matter of fact, I am currently working on a project right now. In the waiting game stage right now. I recently bought several lots in a small town, and everything is riding on what some faggot "Soil Engineers" and the county have to say before I can proceed. This part of the process absolutely SUCKS, but this is the world we live in.
Yeup, I'm looking at 5 acres tomorrow in the country. It's mostly wooded but I plan on knocking down most of the trees (not all) and starting my homestead there.
Leave the trees up, as many as you can. They take a long time to grow, and a year or two from now you may realize that you want them back.
Whats great is tech like Starlink can allow you to do tech work pretty much anywhere.
