You can see in the screen grab that the first two attempts failed, and the third took, although all three seemed to have the target cross over the box. I was discussing this with and he thinks it is possible it might have something to do with Brave browser.

No, I did not miss. All three tries had the cross over the box, but only the third one took. Also, I am told, the pic color should be changing when it is in the correct spot, but as you can see this did not happen, even on the third attempt when the pic was accepted.

I know you don't want to hear this, but you shouldn't be using Brave browser.

I don't trust anything. Brave works well for me so I use it.

Thus far you have not offered a better alternative. I also am pretty sure that if you do in fact offer what you think is a better alternative, a quick search will likely show that it actually isn't.
