So I make a burger with onions and jalapeños in the patty. I grill it and add a lot of pepper...

My question is what would be a good Cole slaw to top this burger with?

I like a creamy slaw with plenty of vinegar and pepper. You need to let the slaw marinate for a while.

I got a lot of pepper in and on the burger was thinking of something contrasting I like the creamy aspect

Fuck slaw, put some sauerkraut on there

Hmmm I eat at a German private club and they have bracts and I always think there is way to much sauerkraut then as I'm finishing I always think man they could have put more on it!

Lol never even crossed my mind I call it the Texan... is there a sauerkraut that is considered s Texas version?

I would take a big shit on it when you weren't looking.

As a shitty cook, i would suggest checking out a flavor pairing website or the book flavor bible. After a quick look, here are some suggestions:

american cheese, bacon, barbecue sauce, basil, bread crumbs, bread flour, brown sugar, bun, buns, butter, carrot, cayenne, cheddar cheese, chicken, chili powder, cilantro, cinnamon, cumin, dijon mustard, dill pickle, eggs, garlic, garlic powder, green onion, green pepper, GROUND BEEF, HAMBURGER BUN, hot sauce, jalapeno, ketchup, lemon juice, lettuce, mayonnaise, milk, mushroom, olive oil, ONIONS, oregano, parsley, red onions, red pepper, sandwich rolls, seasoning, soy sauce, steak sauce, sugar, tomato, turkey, turkey burgers, worcestershire sauce.

My take away from this would prob be a green cabbage leaf (steam removed) and chiffonade cut it, lemon juice and oil to water down some mayo, mix in a minced basil oregano and parsley blend, add a touch of sugar and you should be good, maybe cherry tomato thinly sliced to add in color. Dat red and green. Depends on the other toppings, as i enjoy a nice red onion with my burgers.

Finally, have you been sending your dick pics to maroon saint lately? Every dick pick sent is a life saved.

I love the combo of pineapple and jalapenos, so maybe a slaw with rice vinegar, cabbage, pineapple, green onions, a little mayo and sugar and pepper - something like that. The sweet would offset all of the savory and spice in the burger.

If the onions and jalapeños are still crunchy, you want a soft creamy sweet slaw. Food process some shredded cabbage and carrots, add a little mayo, a little sugar, and a little lime juice.

If they are soft then you want a crunchy slaw. Rough cabbage and carrots with Balsamic vinegar, garlic, sugar, and a little mayo but just a little not super creamy more tangy and sweet

Best reply so far and sounds good

I prefer slaw as a side, not a topping. If I remember, I will track down the recipe I used as a base for my cole slaw.

First off, get rid of all that shit mixed into the patty. Second, go with a vinegar slaw. Always.

Man the onions and jalapeños grilled in taste great add some crunch on the inside and chsr nice on the ones exposed out side. Unless u have tried it and don't like it then don't try it.

7 year old girl who claimed to hate onions and jalapeños ate an entire burger and they don't lie to well at that age.

On a tangent, but imoho, cabbage is under used in Americana dishes. Unlike lettuce, brings actual flavor and texture.

That said, I find most slaw recipes to be terrible. If you find a good one, please share.

I sautéed cabbage/onion/garlic to go with St Paddies corn beef. Would be great on a burger..
