I don't think it was about votes. No one cares about votes even the people who voted lol. Control is most likely the sole reason. Control of narrative. Context creators. When is the last time you had a conversation with someone that didn't include a political diatribe or something related to modern social issues.

I think the reason why people haven't done anything about the state of affairs is because they don't care. I am just waiting for the collapse and the end.
