Yea I talk enough shit to be labeled an Atheist, and treated poorly since thats how "Gods children" do it
(They are down with God, so no need to treat other humans well....talk about missing the point eh?) .... sigh... I digress.
At later age and many long ponders later, the only 'devil' I can see is any 'man' that tells me he knows God but I dont, and must seek God through them and their teachings, and buy all their books, and click like and subscribe.....and buy 'insider' alert newsletters....
If God is everywhere, he is not a personification, neither a he nor she, nor a lamb nor a lion. An entity of such magnitude would be lessened by such tiny incarnations. Any entity or concept that was omnipresent, is no longer a separate 'thing', but rather, an aspect of all things. Neither You, nor God, can be separated from the whole, as these things are parts of the whole, the things which create the thing.
I assert that I am only a heretic amongst the blind.
I'm pretty certain me and God will get along just fine.
(if that came out as a haiku, my work here is done)
also none of this is really directed your way, but thank you for inspiring the thoughts (pull my string again!)
You made a great point when you pointed out "his god". Isnt it strange how we never feel compelled for more than a moment to consider other Gods as valid? We are so certain, and they are so certain, but we both know we cant both be correct. Prisoners Dilemma. We cant all win, but we all have to play.
If I chastise the notion of "God" as typically portrayed, I am immediately demonized, surely even the pious would wish to know if they had been mislead, not the case apparently, as all of my mindset quickly learn, but if I say "those people over there, their idea of God is wrong" then thats ok. So we admit that a person can be completely extremist level faithful.....and still be a moron who is wrong. I think it's folly to forbid looking into that particular mirror.
