The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn is a Rosicrucian society created by three Freemasons in 1887. It had, as its primary purpose, the study, teaching and practice of ritual magic in the Western tradition.
I'm not one of those guys who wholly thinks that things went down in a certain way, but the freemasons don't do theurgy like the Rosicrucians do. I believe Rosicrucianism started with 3 manifestos. Then from Rosicrucians came Hermetic order of the Golden Dawn. One could say masons Knights Templar started it but it is considered fringe masonry and not regular masonry. There's also a third more modern type that allows women.
These manifestos where created in 1614-1617. Way earlier than 1887.
I hate being pedantic but 200+ years is a bit of a difference.
