What makes us different from 1921 in terms of known information?

Just like the population didn't know the whole story of the depression and the market manipulation, we know about as much today

Either side will claim that they really know while those in the middle know they don't know anything

The internet makes us think we do however

Are we any further along than we were 100 yrs ago?

Truth is something you seek, it's never told. Before the internet, finding the truth required physical investigation, the internet allows you to discover it virtually or gives you a better chance at discovery.

To combat truth, criminals need to flood easy discovery of truth with lies and misinformation. I call it the four Ds: deny, deflect, defend and deceive. Only people who have abstract thinking ability can discover the truth because the criminals don't have the resources to cover their tracks very well. People who can't think or won't think, take information at face value. That information is easy to find because it finds you.
