I think they spread this meme intentionally so you sit on your hands.
crush an opponent stronger than you because your opponent is mostly pacifist (the american gun owning right)
continue to push further and further, beyond the line of all decorum
spread rumors that push back and a fight is exactly what the state wants in order to "justify crushing us all!"
All while doing just that: crushing america.
The fact is, when someone is spoiling for a fight, it doesn't really matter, if the end result is the only way to survive is to fight.
And they'll will put americans in that position sooner or later anyway.
So its doesn't matter whether or not they "want a civil war" does it?
