The answer is, pregnant women can't be trusted to do anything, not even defend the life of their baby these days. They are in there because it's peacetime (more or less) and there is no threat. If they are placed in a combat situation, they will fuck up, every time. Putting women into the military is a very, very, VERY stupid thing to do, but we have very stupid, and maybe insane, people ruling over us.
