"fer" means to carry in Latin (hence confer, transfer, refer, etc.), so it sounds to me like /pol/ is wrong.

/edited to add that the underlying Hebrew word is Hêlêl or Heylel which means bringer of light or bringer of dawn, aka the morning star.

thanks would you know how to say lightbender in latin?

I would sat it would be something like Luciflect as in reflect, or deflect...

It's been a very long time since I had Latin in school.

I'm not a Latinist, but light is lux and bend is flecte (like reflect and deflect I think) so maybe luxaflect or luciflect.

Lucatorq or Lucatorsi = Light Twister

Lucaflex or Lucurvus = Light Bender

This is the answer I would have given if I got here 3 minutes ago.
