I look at Poal every day, but find that seemingly every other day I sit down to go through Poal posts only to find every pic8 link fails to load. This is on wifi or even on cellular data. Pic8 is down at least as much as its up.

are you sure pic8 is down, or is it the host its redirecting you to that your ISP doesn't like?

if an image doesn't load, and you can load up https://pic8.co, it's probably an issue with the underlying host and your ISP.

The issue seems to be this. There's a period of time where most pic8 images will not load, and then at some point later in the same day, maybe minutes, maybe a hr or two later, the same links all then open. This is a very frequent problem. I doubt my ISP is blocking and then unblocking the same links just a little while later.

It may very well be your ISP.

Pic8 refreshes the links which are served periodically.

If you pay attention, you'll notice that a given pic8 link (https://pic8.co/sh/blahblah) will redirect to different hosts throughout time (one time it may be imgbox, another time it redirects to jssocial, etc.)

So, if your ISP doesn't like some of the underlying image hosts that pic8 redirects to, then a given image may load at one time (serving a host your ISP is fine with) and later won't load (because it's now serving a host your ISP does not like)

At this moment, I have 6 tabs open, trying to view pic8 links that are in the New area, and none of them loaded until I let the tabs swirel for about 60 seconds. I was just about to close them all, giving up on any of them actually opening, when they suddenly all did.

What is this behavior all about?

Ok ok, I don’t know about that there’s always links to catbox that I have to download to view. And I’m a mobile user so then I’m all like naw mane and then I always think I’m missing the best and funniest but also pic8 takes too long sometimes so I’m all like that I ain’t got time for that lady so then I miss what I think is the best and funniest also. So mainly I just read the comments to see what all the fuss is about. And that is how I do things and also you could try and do things like that too k. Have a great afternoon!

The DL issue is odd. I haven't run into that with anything linked there. They just open in a new tab without issue. Maybe the browser you're using?
