How can I block a user? I’ve done it in the past. Previously I would click on the user and there was a “block user” button. No more. WTF?? Thanks for the help. I’ve only blocked 4 or 5 users.

Blocking a user has been limited to users above level 10. The new way the block works requires more resources so we limited to people who have contributed a bit more. It costs money to use it so we want people to commit before they start blocking users.

Ok. At what level, and how do I get there. What if I just sent you $10.

If you want me to modify your level something I've never done for anyone it's gonna cost a lot more than 10$, alternatively you can just post and comment and get your level to level 10.

that's all well and fine, but what if someone is harassing people ? or continually down voting users ? as mods you have the power to ban people. maybe more mods need to keep an eye on certain users. and i think you know who i am talking about.

Open the ban button, let the downvoats fly freely. No censorship whatsoever. Doxing, harassing, stalking...bring it.

I'm not a mod I'm an admin. I keep a close eye on downvotes and I haven't seen any abuse in the last few days.

can we have the mods that abuse the ban button removed from modding subs? some people get but hurt and do this

I'm gonna be that guy so I apologize, but couldn't this all effectively be handled via a hashing algorithm where you can remove banned people in constant time, meaning virtually for free?
