Poal wasn't a echo-chamber shithole, but too many goats (not all, or even most) after complaining about commiefornians moving to a nice place and shitting it up for half a decade, moved here and tried to do the same. Significantly more rude people. More low effort posts, crazy amounts of spam, more inappropriate down votes in a day than I saw in over a year here.
Because of the general influx of negativity, rudeness, anger and hostility from the voat refugees, people here are now more apt to react negatively, or assume a negative intention when there isn't one.
