Well, that's retarded. Apparently context is irrelevant....not that it matters since neither of those examples come close to anything resembling child pornography.

I had seen this rick & morty/child porn thing brought up before and didn't understand but now I see its just more PC shenanigans.

Can you elaborate on the PC Shenanigans part? Also, the child porn could be an extremely lewd comedy skit Dan Harmon did in the late 2000s that supposedly parodied the show Dexter https://youtu.be/F6M3-R0YVxg

Maybe, but that's not what's being claimed here, or elsewhere. The argument that R&M has child porn in it is a false narrative. People that continue to claim that it does are either doing so deliberately to mislead people or are ignorantly parroting those around them. I can think of a dozen scenes between South Park and Family Guy that are just as bad, if not worse, than anything Rick & Morty has put out. It's ludicrous to attack a cartoon teenager in lingerie withing a dream sequence or an animated, make-believe creature dry humping a stuffed animal as child porn when a character like Quagmire exists or Butters is allowed to pimp out children.

I'll add that if what people are really upset about is that Dexter parody, then that's retarded too. I watched the first couple seasons of Dexter before I couldn't really stomach it anymore. There were scenes of him cutting up bodies that stuck with me for far longer than I wanted them too....and at the same time the audience was expected to sympathize with this psychopath. It normalized his actions in a way that made me decide to turn it off. Another show that had the same effect on me was Law & Order: SVU. I used to enjoy it but a bulk of the episodes are about some brutal rape involving minors. The scenes leave little to the imagination and the dialogue graphically explains what they can't show on tv. ...and it's not uncommon to have at least some dialogue that, in my opinion, attempts to normalize pedophilia. But where's the outrage? Dick Wolf's rape fantasy police drama has been on the air like 20 years and are people upset? No, of course not, the show wins awards and praise every fucking season.

So when Harmon makes a parody of Dexter in which the main character nobly carries out a sick & demented act for the good of everyone, I get what he's going for. And it should be pretty obvious to anyone willing to listen to reason that he wasn't making or condoning child porn. He was making a short that was clearly a parody of Dexter and no children were injured during its filming.

And when I claim that all of this is "just more PC shenanigans", I mean that nobody had a problem with a scantily clad cartoon character or an off-the-mark pedo joke until Dan Harmon came along. So I have to wonder...are people upset at child exploitation...or are they upset at Dan Harmon and are using the pedo-card to attack him?

Rosanne getting the axe was the same thing. She had been saying crazy shit for years on twitter without incident, nobody had a problem with it. ABC/DIsney even gave her a show knowing her twitter past. I'm not even sure what she tweeted was racist or just ambient driven crazy but it doesn't matter because they (media outlets) had a target on her once her show, staring a Trump supporter, was a smash hit. It didn't matter what she tweeted, they were going to find something to bring her down because they had a problem with her and her politics.

This is one of the most sane comments I've seen regarding Rick and Morty. I've found the show to have a lot of truth to it about our world. I've found it to be quite commical and overall entertaining.

People are willing to do what it takes to prevent pedophilia from getting normalized by any means because of how bad it currently is. So that's why people have been so willing to jump on people like Dan Harmon. All to make sure that we keep our kids safe at all costs.

However, everyone misses what Justin Roiland did a little while ago. https://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2018/07/26/rick-and-morty-co-creator-justin-roiland-posted-nude-drawing-of-barron-trump/

Now that obviously is wrong and can be seen as a reason to stop watching the show.
