I expect later this year the vaccine will become available for all. Clearly a huge portion of the US and in extension, the world, will refuse it.

I foresee two outcomes:

  1. We’ll pretend that >80% of everyone is vaccinated and we’ll move on like nothing happened.

  2. There will be a huge campaign shaming those who have not gotten jabbed. Rights will be taken away from those without proof of vaccination.

They’ve already calculated this, and if jabs are only at the low end of expectations, the US will likely have herd immunity by the fall. It is also likely cases will drop exceptionally in the next two months. This is only if any of the popular mutations aren’t able to infect the vaxxed or those who have already had it.
