Coca-Cola is owned by Warren Buffet, who in turn owns all the insurance companies. So, to boycott Coca-Cola, you'd have to boycott insurance, which you are legally required to have on your car and house.

Buffet doesn't own ALL of the insurance companies. WFT, do some research.

Why would you drink any of that shit anyway?

[–] 1 pt

I don't, but they're really sneaky, just look at 's reply, it's not only beverages.

[–] 1 pt

Exactly. The phosphoric acid in soda leaches the calcium out of your bones. Friend who was a big soda drinker instead of coffee he said, spiral fractured his lower leg when he hit a golf ball off a practice tee. Decided not to take up golf.

They own dasani water and they put chemicals in it

Don't forget to avoid any restaurants that serve coke products as well.

[–] 0 pt

Why? if I don't order coke. Do you think coke makes money off restaurants even if people don't buy coke? I wonder. If anything, coke gives rebates to restaurants who don't do business with their competitors, but I could take your recommendation into account for sure, not that I go to a lot of restaurants...

I had a chat with a restaurant owner once about the shitty way coke does business with them. Apparently there was a contract kinda deal to have a fountain machine. Sounded lousy from what I recall. He said it was cheaper to buy 12 packs and sell the cans.

Worked at a liquor store. They had to do business with a certain company. They didn't offer certain things so boss man went to another distributor for whatever. I had to hide certain items on Delivery day

Pop-tarts and Doritos are dead to me now. That list is discouraging, so many things... wtf...

[–] 2 pts

Make the stuff homemade. Homemade is better anyways, none of that processed garbage

Dang, pop tarts aren't kosher either.

Oh well.

Looks like its just water from here on out boys

H2O crew checking in. Think I've had two sodas in the last 3 years.

[–] 1 pt

Man I love Coke. This is gonna suck! I drink like 3 cans a week as a nice treat. But, alas, all good things come to a bitter end.

[–] 0 pt

I used to drink a can of dr pepper over ice at the end of a hot work day. Its so fucking good . Not doing that for over 2 years now . Water with a little lemon is better

[–] 0 pt

My sympathies, hopefully you'll find yourself another treat that isn't made by anti-white racists.

[–] 1 pt

Water from the tap, or your own rain collection system.

[–] 1 pt

I get water from an Artesian well and bring it into my house in 6 gallon jerry cans. I haul them to the basement and use an electric pump to bring it to the kitchen faucet for drinking water.

Better run that through RO or distiller...

[–] 0 pt

Water? You mean, like from the toilet?

In order to boycott Coca-Cola you would have to track down all the firms and subsidiaries that are a part of the over-arching globo-homo nightmare that is "coca cola." You might be surprised at what you would have to stop buying. Could be anything from beverages that you thought were direct competition to "cocal cola," to financial products, pharma products, etc etc. We can't hurt these guys in the wallet unless we are actually like shutting their factories down.

[–] 0 pt

That is exactly the kind of information I'm looking for! Do you know of anybody who has done this research? I try to prioritize buying from local places, but if there is any shopping habit I can change to not support coke, I will do my best. Fuck 'em.

The easiest way to get started would be to look at Coca-Cola brands - there are over 500 spread throughout 200 countries. It can get tricky because through partnerships and licensing Coca Cola also manufactures and distributes many products including Nestlé and Dannon in the US and Canada. You can do an internet search, there is an official coca-cola brands page and a wiki that shows all of the brands, even international.I started there and eliminated products from my shopping list. When you start looking at what is owned by Coca Cola's largest share holder, Warren Buffet, it's quite a rabbit hole. Anything from real-estate to GEICO insurance.

It's going to be a big list.

They own almost half the beverage market, for starters.

Pepsi owns nearly the other half.

They are big enough to survive a boycott, but that doesn't mean they are not going to feel it. It'll hurt real bad.

[–] 1 pt

Either way, I don't drink carbonated sugary beverages, but it's all the other crap they peddle that I want to make sure I know about, so I can avoid supporting them as much as humanely possible.

Sometimes Wikipedia is helpful

List of

Shit, they own a good percentage of all drink related products

You don't become a 215 billion $ corporation selling one product. You buy any small brands that are making inroads into your market.

Just buy meat and plants and drink water. You can mix water with plant to make fancy drinks, or with bone to make bone broth. What else do you need?
