We have been given on line mandatory modules and unsurprisingly those think it's a great idea like it.
The unintended consequences is it opens up the conversation for those on the fence and since we already make fun of corporate training, it's easy to plant the seed.
I've heard from a few people in leadership that are close to retirement that if they are forced to go to a live session they plan to enter retirement early. I'm a high performer, as are several other work friends, and I expressed to my boss a couple years ago that if they push me into one of those classes I'll be looking for a new job.
During the yearly "employee feedback" many of the team, even those more on the fence, stated the biggest issue attributing to dissatisfaction is the woke politics. We have also been told, keep religion and politics out of the work place, so we asked the company to do the same... Not that they will listen until it's too late.
We actually have a statement in our employee handbook that we can't champion any 'causes' at the place of business. Several of my coworkers have questioned HR about this policy and got crickets in response.
I have found HR is on the side of the employer and are usually the ones pushing this Marxism in the first place.
Aww, that's because HR has been told to push this because it is a "job requirement".
Does that include selling of outside products? I fucking loathe being harassed outside of stores for candy and cookies
Turn the module on, mute the sound, walk away until its done.
Unfortunately it's in person.
