I have actually done some testing with this. Will share some of what I did below.
- Overall tip / suggestions. Make daily / weekly / monthly to do lists. I personally use Rainlender for scheduled tasks.
- Every day as inevitable fires pop up begging to be put out, go back to your list. If it is not on the list, add it. Then prioritize the list and start chipping away at it. You are likely now thinking, fuck man, I don't have time as it is, how can I do all this list making prioritization? The list "work" takes less than 5 minutes per day after you get it setup. Once you use your lists as a guide, you will find you actually do the important stuff first, and other fires get the priority they deserve. You get a feeling of great accomplishment by finishing your daily list and even more if you can cross off some future list items. This positive reinforcement is one key. You now get that dopamine rush from doing the list, thereby reinforcing doing the list. I know lists sound boring, but they really fucking work man.
- Next tip if you get swamped in email is google "process inbox to zero". Same idea as lists, but with inbox. Every email is given a folder and priority and you go from there.
- Last tip. Tip of last resort. Get some bulk powder piracetam. This shit really works. Not as much as Limitless (movie) but 100% after you get the loading dose done, you are like on a constant cup of strong coffee. High energy, high focus, high concentration. Warning, can mess with sleep. But damn, you get a lot done!
- Ok one more tip. I know you are into coffee. Add some theanine with every coffee "session". It allows you to drink more / stronger coffee without the negative side effects of more / stronger coffee.
I went through a period of my life where I didn't seem to have enough time and the tips above separately and combined especially made a HUGE difference. YMMV.
