Why has he waited 2000+ years now? Why did he say he would return before his disciples died?
new testament was written after his death and ascension to heaven. jesus said i am the way the truth and the light and no one may come to the father but by me. he is giving future generations of his people time to get saved. but his patience has limits also.
Generations can keep going forever and ever, countless people will never be born and be saved, whats enough for him? 20 billion generations of people? 300 trillion? Or just like 435? He clearly stated he was part of the last generations. Him not returning proves it was a lie.

That is the fulfillment, and it's one verse later. So you disagree? Great! But you have zero authority on the matter, as you have neither read, understood, or believed the scripture.
So why are you getting all finnicky about this one passage? Jus got for the jugular - the Bible says Jesus resurrected people and himself! If that isn't true, then I am to be pitied above all.
