They were rebuked because they falsely claimed lineage. He pointed out they could not hear him because they are of Caine's lineage.
Is it Cain? Wouldn't his line have been destroyed in the flood? Or was it someone from the line of Shem, perhaps Ham's son Canaan who saw his dad naked and was cursed? Or perhaps Esau, who went on to breed with Canaanites while Jacob stuck to a member of the tribe? I think we're basically in agreement, but it seems there are several tribes it could be, and that's just Genesis. Keeping track of the names and lineages is also challenging.

We can simplify the challenge by realizing none of the (((People))) in the (((Bible))) are (((Germanic))) and the (((Bible))) is not the Heroic-Epic of our People. It is a (((Heroic-Epic))) of (((Sand-Niggers))).
